Jungle Trails was already completely closed off, so I was left wondering that myself. That's interesting to hear that Don and Tom will be moving to Lorikeet Landing...
Note: If you go to one of these concerts and want to see a good amount of animals, make sure you get there at 5 o'clock. The elephants are visible in the Elephant House until 8:30 and the Reptile House, Night Hunters, and Dragons! are open until 7:00, but by getting there at 5:00 I got to see the elephants while they were still outside, the giraffes in their barn, all three species of bears, the barred owls, the lions, the Japanese macaques, the Steller's sea eagles, the Andean condors, the emu, the Bactrian camels, the Przewalski's horses, the Sichuan takins, and the red river hogs. Be prepared to be escorted out of the exhibits as it gets later in the evening. I was quickly rushed out of Wildlife Canyon by security guards as they were closing the exhibit for the evening (Luckily I had already spent my time seeing everything
) Though normally I applaud the Cincinnati Zoo's staff for the way they handle visitors, the security guards were certainly not the friendliest. After all that I still saw most of the concert

. but anyways back to cat canyon which by the way the snow leopard exhibit will be hands down the best in the country in my opinion for the height and mountainous range style exhibit. both siamangs and buff cheeked gibbons were active. to catch a glimpse of the chinese alligators in the soon to be remodeled reptil house was a pleasure along the other variety of species but the razo island skink was not on exhibit the only species in this country if not mistaken. the new remodeled wolf woods was fun. we both liked the otter exhibit. which was one of the difference from our first visit. there was construction going on.To see my 2nd species of Bird-of-paradise(Raggiana) made Wings of the world a all time fav in my books. but one ? are there really magellanic penguins in there they looked like african to me
. and where did the laughing kookaburra go theres a barred owl in its exhibit?fed a Giraffe at giraffe ridge was a blast but disappointed they didnt have the cheetah encounter opened missed it on are first visit. Now saving the best for last to see a sumatran rhino in captivity is awesome and to have cincinnati zoo take great care for this animals is a blessing. Thks cincinnati zoo. Its was great to see the polar bears swimming my fav animal of all time even thou in my opinion there exhibit is average. Night Hunters yes baby love this one with a great lineup of animals.Tayra,Bearcat,Caracal,Fennec fox,Bat eared fox which has babies exhibit is closed,fishing cat,bobcat,eursian eagle owl,pallas cat,fossa,aardwolf,clouded leopard,garnetts galago & aardvark share a exhibit. Banded palm civet was moved from jungle trails to night hunters but we missed him never saw him and im mad
but what makes night hunters a cool exhibit is the banded palm civet has a clear glass in front of the clouded leopard so if the banded palm civet was out it would look like your seein both species in one whole exhibit which was pretty cool,ocelot,vampire bat,sand cat and black footed cat.And last but Not least Jungle Trails. You have Mueller Gibbons greet you with their long whooping calls. orangutans,white handed gibbons,francois langurs,lion tailed macaques are in the asian part. African part Bonobos which have the best exhibit out of anyone. Coquerel's sifaka are a new addition,Aye-aye,Bamboo lemur and Potto share a spacious exhibit and Large-spotted Genet with kits was so cute.
Hopefully I will be able to see the new additions I missed when I visited during Tunes and Blooms.
