Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden What's Gnu at the Cincinnati Zoo - 2015

So is the zoo Malayan Tiger-less or did they receive the female from Busch Tam and the male from Dickerson like the SSP says? Or are they still waiting for them?

I can now confirm that these tigers have both arrived. The two-year old female from Bush Gardens has completed her quarantine period, however, the male from Dickerson Park has not. Neither are likely to go on exhibit before spring, however.

It appears that the alligator snapping turtle tank will be home to not one alligator snapping turtle, but two alligator and one Florida snapping turtles.

A male Linne's two-toed sloth named Twix will be arriving from the Racine Zoo in Wisconsin to breed with resident female, Moe. They will be held off-exhibit in the Africa interpretive collection building through the winter and early spring.

One of the zoo's Arabian sand cats, Jallah, passed away recently. Her daughter, Najah, is still on exhibit, however.

A male fennec fox is in quarantine and will join the resident female on exhibit later this month for breeding.

A breeding pair of Pallas' cats are now on exhibit together. The zoo is hoping for natural breeding.

For whatever reason, Little One and Berit, the polar bears, were separated in the two enclosures.

The zoo is taking donations to help fund the expansion of the giraffe facilities.

Well they do have, what, five giraffes now? The facilities that were there on my visit seemed to only be fit for three.

Four, and they originally opened with 5. However, I guess I could see this because they plan to breed Kimba with CeCe and Jambo. I remember they separated him from his usual mate Tessa (Produced 3 calves with him) to stop breeding with her. Recently I've seen all 4 of them together since the transfer of Nasha.
