Longleat Safari & Adventure Park Whats happened to the Eland herd?

Just wanting some info on the eland herd as earlier last year on one of their video podcasts it said that they have a thriving herd of more than 20 animals. Now ISIS only lists 8 females. I hope it is not a repeat of the time when they only held a small female herd before they brought in a young male.

Sometimes ISIS is a little out of date. I've found that to be true with Longleat especially. Do you know if it has recently changed to these stats, or if these have always been the listings for them?

Longleat strangely enough on and off reports to ISIS. At times, they have been totally off and even did not list at all. I suspect it is for that reason that the numbers game is not complete.

A few months ago it said that they held 1.8. Now it says 0.8.

Hmmm, then I don't know. When I went in October there was definately a large herd of them, most likely around the 20 mark. Whether something's happened over the winter, I don't know. Maybe email them? :)
