Taronga Zoo what's the next project at taronga?

I think Taronga is going to regret this in the furture. In 20 years or so people will look back and think what were they thinking building all of those exhibits in exactley the same style and in 100 years they'll all be heritage listed and Taronga will be stuck with them just like Dudley.


And is it only me that noticed everyone in that plan is Asian except for one person. LOL

Where are the orangs going to be housed?

If the orangs weren't there they could house the chimps in three groups (depending on the size of each faction).

the orangs have already moved to an off exhibit display in the bottom of the zoo so the chimps will have all of the orang house to destroy! as chimps are prone to do!

They won't destroy the structure, but they will certainly give the exhibits a beating!

what enclosure is this? did the purpose build one? was it already there? housing a group of orangs is no easy feat....

According to ISIS Taronga only has 2 orangs now, a hybrid pair which probably won't be used for breeding.

Its a multi purpose holding facility in a service area of the park, the orangs will enjoy the peace and quiet i'm sure.

Really l always belived apes enjoyed the public as a form of enrichment. Although the level of noise would be a problem to the more sensitive l guess.
