Oké ,I think the question ought to be obvious.
I decided to post this in the offtopic section ; I'm sorry this is not right.

What kinds of music do you like and mostly listen too ?

I personally am on the side of metal, mostly power metal, gothic metal and some heavy and symphonic ,as well a very little thrash and death metal.
Mostly bands like Kamelot (my favourite !) ,Epica, Nightwish, After Forever, Symphony X, Within Temptation, Opeth, Sabaton ,Kreator, and more.
I also like some rock , grunge (Nirvana) ,and some classical (Vangelis) ,as well as I do like Rammstein (industrial).

Not a very diverse taste, as I mostly listen to the very much same things.

What about you ?

I'm not really a music listener, but I like to play interestng and difficult pieces on the flute, Oboe, Piccolo and Piano.

At the moment I'm playing some jazzy Studies on the piano and they're really fun. They have a good pulse and are easy to remember.

With the piccolo, I only play it at band, so I have n o control over what I play. Luckily the conductor has picked the baby elephant walk, which is a tune I like, and Can't get out of my head!!

The oboe quite a rare instrument, in terms that there are not many people playing it. I'm playing Danse Macabre, Tritsch tratsch Polka, Forrest Gump Suite and My fair lady in the Orchestra.

On the flute, I'm prearing for Grade 5, so I'm doing a study, Sicilienne, by Gabriel Faure, and Anitra's dance by Greig. I've also got flight of the bumblebee, which I can play all but the last third really well.

I'm a massive rock fan! (All sub-genres included) and I also play the drums for fun.

My favourites are Foo Fighters (I'm going to see them at Wembley!), U2 and Red Hot Chili Peppers (Seen these live), but I love loads of other bands as well.

I will also listen to parts of other genres providing that it is a good song.

I like Motown and soul music mainly, but I will also listen to most types of music. I can't stand reggae or rap music.

I also like Hawkwind which are my brother's favourite group, we go to see them most years.

My nephew has just started his own heavy metal band and has done several concerts in Stoke for the Donna Louise Trust, a hospice for very sick children.

I'm surprised that Hornbill has time to participate in this forum with all his music activities. He's obviously very talented musically.

Music baffles me, I simply don't understand it. I was hopeless at mussic when I was at school.

My school finishes at 3:30 but I only come home at this time two days a week.

On monday I have my intermediate wind band (4.30-6.00)
Tuesday, I come home, then back to the music centre for Youth Orchestra (6.45-8.45)
Wednesday Double reed ensemble (4.15-5.15)
Thursday, Flute lesson (4.30-5.00)
Friday FREE NIGHT!!
Saturday Piano lesson (5.30-6.15)

Not to mention all the bands at school during lunches and breaks!!

My favourite band is 'Vaya Con Dios'. It's a Belgian band, founded in 1986 until now :). They had a few big hits in Europe like:

nah neh nah
heading for a fall
puerto rico
just a friend of mine
johnny
what's a woman
don't cry for louie
don't break my heart
Philadelphia

I think they're amazing! Dani Klein is the lead singer of the band. She has a unique voice, realy! Most used instruments are contrasbass, drum, piano, sax, accordeon, guitar. It's jazz, pop, latin... a bit of all. I think every song has something timeless and the music is just beautiful...! Till now I saw them 6 times live I think, realy good! Proud of being a Belgian for that :)!

Good call on the Foos! I love them, saw them on their last UK tour in November and they're phenomenal live! :D

I like quite a lot of modern pop, rock and indie music - some of my faves are Coldplay, Editors, Keane, Gorillaz, Travis, Starsailor, The Killers and Muse. Not so into rap or classical, I'll give most stuff a chance mind you!

Hmmm...
I'm into a bit of everything, going to festival called soundwave featuring bands like killswitch engage, coheed and cambria., as I lay dying, motion city soundtrack, Plain White t's (hey there delilah) and I'm into all of them, also growing up country gave me a bit of a liking for the country music... at the momnet, Ladysmith Black Mambazo is one of my favourites. But will also listen to just about anything

Mine's kind of a mix of anything that i think sounds cool at the time but my three all time favourites are The Killers(have seen live) Bob Dylan(my dads influence and have seen live) and the Arctic Monkeys. Also Klaxons, Cut Copy and Robyn right now but the last three will likely change.

My music style, is in between pop and hip hop, also i don't mind "Melbourne Shuffle" Mixes, I have never had a particular fav artist. Does anyone here Dance Formation break or hip hop everyone at my school either "C-walks" or "Shuffles" if any one knows what they are,

Though i guess music is different in everyone, particularly in generations and age groups,

I listen to a little bit of everything. just depends in the mood im in. Alice In Chains, Nine Inch Nails and Stone Temple Pilots are some of my Favs.

Like Writhed hornbill, I am not normally a music listener, but when I do listen to music which is extremely rare it is classical music, world music and metal

Lots of new "bluegrass" "Southern music" out today both with American and British based artists. The Alabama Shakes, Mumford n Son among others.
