From their website:

Disabled Access

Dudley Zoological Gardens welcomes all visitors to its site. We recognise that visiting our heritage & conservation site may present difficulties for people with disabilities, therefore we are continually improving procedures and provide extra provision where possible to ensure that all our visitors can enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable day out. Where access to certain areas is not possible for various reasons, improved interpretation and alternative services will wherever possible assist in overcoming these restrictions.

If you experience difficulties in using our website or require further information and advice for a visit please telephone us on 01384 215313 or email reception@dudleyzoo.org.uk

The nature of our historic site means that in parts the paths are steep and in some areas there are steps.

Training in disability awareness is a continuous process. In particular, Presenters, Keeping & Customer Service employees are trained to interpret and assist with all visitors needs.

We can provide a land train to assist visitors with access to the top of the site. If you require this service please call 01384 215313 for availability.

We welcome assistance dogs on site except in animal contact areas.

Disabled parking and drop off points are available.

A BSL guide to sign & personal guides for audio tours are available by prior appointment.

Disabled facilities are available in all toilets.

Manual wheelchairs and Electric mobility scooters are available to hire from the main entrance, please call 01384 215313 to reserve.
For manual wheelchairs, a £10 refundable deposit is required. Electric mobility scooters cost £12 per day, with a £20 refundable deposit. 2 forms of identification are required. A complimentary admission is provided to commit one carer for wheelchair users. Please read our terms and conditions regarding hiring a mobility scooter.

Some very steep inclines and unfortunatly some path are currently very uneven after the storms last week, but I do see quite a few people using the electric wheelchairs the zoo have for hire.

EDIT - If using wheelchairs of any description make sure everything is tucked away when going thru the walk thru area's

I think I'm pretty fit as I do a lot of walking but even I can find it hard work. You need to do a sort of route of rings(!) doing the outer ring first then the next in etc. etc. until you get to the castle in the centre (the steepness being of course why the castle is there in the first place!). This will stop you going up and down the steeper paths more than you need to which can be tiring! It can still be hard work though.

Since I was last on here my mother and her friends have been contacted by 14 collections only problem is not one of them are what we call the big named collections is it a case of can't be assed by the big collections.
