Port Lympne Wild Animal Park When is Krueger moving?

Does anybody know when Krueger is ment to be moved to Noah's Ark Zoo Farm? In October 2014 Janu a nine year old bull moved from Prot lympne over to Noah's Ark and I was just wondering if anyone knows when Krueger is ment to be sent over?

ah, I figured it had to be an elephant or a giraffe or maybe a lion.

Originally they put out that he was meant to follow the young male 'Janu' in the autumn, but it was delayed- it might have been due to 'illness' or transport problems (I can't remember which). So that was over six months ago. Nothing more has been said on the Noah's Ark site about him since.
 
I did an elephant experience back in July 2014 when Krueger and Janu was there and the keeper said that they were both moving because they were fasing out elephants all together and he said that they were going to Noah's Ark. So Krueger may be the last elephant ever to live at Port Lympne.
 
Kruger's crate is going back in place this month. If he refuses to move into it of his own accord then they'll have to use Roy Smith's lorry and equipment and he can't do the move until October. Hopefully all goes to plan.

Yes, phasing out elephants at Port Lympne and concentrating elephant management and breeding program at Howletts only.

This opens up potential for some new species for their current exhibit.
 
When I was there I herd they were moving the black rhino over to the elphant facilities once the elephants had gone.
 
Such a waste. We could do with a bull elephant facility in the UK, and Port Lympne could have done that job very well. Hell, it couldn't be closer to the Channel Tunnel.
 
I don't quite get why this bull is leaving their parks, whereas 'Jums' is presumably the father of several of the females in the Howletts group. Would it not be better to exchange them?
 
Batula elephant groups are very uncommon it would maybe be a good idea to start a group somewhere for Bulls to temporarily stay. Jums the bull at Howletts is set to move also in the next year or so, in exchange for another bull.
 
I believe they are fasing the elephants out at port lympne as the park has had a very poor elephant history, after the departure of the Asain elephants back in 2006 Port Lympne has been a facility for any Africans which need to be moved from Howletts temporarily.
 
Port Lympne has announced the passing of Kruger this today, at least he isn't in pain anymore. I saw him last week he wasn't venturing any further than his house door, the safari guide said he very rarely went any further these days. He was obviously never destined to move.

This does not surprise me.:( His arthritic(?) looking condition made the planned transfer to Noah's Ark announced over a year ago seem unlikely. With no Elephants anymore at Port Lympne- perhaps a good thing- what will use their accomodation now- Black Rhino?
