Dung beetles are ecologically important species. They run the sewer systems of the savannas and forests of the world. They have disgusting lifestyles by eating and reprocessing the world's poop, which makes them potentially fascinating and interesting zoo exhibits.
Going through the gallery I found live dung beetle exhibits at San Diego, Bristol, and London Zoos and at the Audubon Insectarium in Louisiana. At a recent visit to the San Diego Zoo I found that the dung beetle exhibit in Elephant Odyssey no longer had dung beetles in it.
Are there still some dung beetle exhibits out there in the zoo world?
