We had a recent discussion about penguin exhibits. This got me wondering about their northern hemisphere equivalents, the puffins and other alcids. What zoos and/or aquariums have the best puffin exhibits that people have seen?
Are there any institutions that have tufted, horned, and Atlantic puffins?
The only puffin exhibits in California are at the Aquarium of the Pacific (smallish), Sea World (decent), and Monterey Bay (haven't seen it). I've seen puffin exhibits at the Central Park Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Point Defiance Zoo (Tacoma), and Oregon Aquarium. I think the Point Defiance exhibit is the best of that bunch.
I would be interested in hearing what other ZooChatters' favorite puffin exhibits are.
Are there many puffin exhibits in Europe or other parts of the world?
Are there any bad puffin exhibits out there that we should beware of?
