Twycross Zoo Where past speices at Twycross were

I have a few questions about past animals at Twycross and where they were kept in the zoo:

The cheetahs - Where were they? I have seen pictures and it seems they were where the dholes are now?

The Sealions - There used to be 4 in 1996 and there is now 2. Where did the other 2 go?

The Seals - Why did Twycross get rid of these?

Chimps - I read in the 2007 report that the chimp houses were to be demolished and a new main chimp house for all was to be built. Any news on this? The link is here and its on page 12: http://www.charity-commission.gov.u...ccounts\Ends41\0000501841_ac_20071231_e_c.pdf

Gorillas - Whats happening with these. Are they getting a new male soon?

Lions - Again, a new male is there any plans? Also in the new enclosure there will be the 2 females and a male? correct?

Elephants - When is the baby due to be born and is it set to stay at Twycross?

Baboons - Twycross should have a baboon rock type enclosure. It could be done and they seem relatively easy to care for. Plus they make for a great exhibit and conservation.

Misc - Any news on any future goings on like any rumors of new animal arrivals etc?

I believe a certain member has answered some of the above question for you.

Gorilla's you will have to wait and see (meaning if you cannot read between the lines, there are plans to bring a new male in but when and where from only a few people on here seem to know anymore)

A new male lion will be requested once the new enclosure is built.

Elephants, If I remember correctly the baby is due this summer and on whether they keep the baby depends if its a male or not, or if its a pain in the bum. (A.I. produce a higher rate of males, so expect a male baby )

Yep, they were where the dholes are currently.

The Seals - Why did Twycross get rid of these?

The Baikal Seals died out (quite suddenly, in fact). The zoo did have Common Seals for a time as I recall; not sure what happened to to these.

Most of the rest, as taun says, is a case of wait and see for the moment.

Misc - Any news on any future goings on like any rumors of new animal arrivals etc?

Personnaly i don`t like rumours been posted on here as some people on here start to believe them and they start to become fact,like Chester getting Lesser Kudu when in fact what was planned to arrive was Roan Antelope which are now at Chester Zoo.I could post a list of species that i`ve heard mentioned that could be arriving at Twycross but all it would be is a list of rumours so my answer is you will just have to wait and see,if something becomes fact and i can post it i will.
