Was just uploading a picture on ZooChat ( egg-eating snake at Emmen Zoo )
when I saw something flying through my garden. A closer look and I discovered it was a Sparrow hawk which had landed under a small shelter in my garden ! Althrough not rare in the Netherlands it is rarely seen in gardens and I directly took my camera and made a serrie of pictures from which I will post the best in a few moments in the Netherlands - wildlife Gallery.
Now I want to know of course which ( unussual ) animals you can see when looking from your window into your garden ?

Well, I've seen a fair few oddities in my garden in the past; Deer, a Peacock and an African Grey instantly come to mind. I'm quite lucky in where I live actually, I've seen all sorts from Greenfinches and Goldcrests, to all three woodpecker species and Sparrowhawks. We usually see a male Common Pheasant too. We have competitions with friends of ours down the road to see who is more successful in attracting it to our respective gardens. I've seen slow-worms, frogs, foxes, and many other lovely creatures.
