Which Crane Species Are Nice In Temperment?

If this wasn't on YouTube I would've paid to see it in theaters:

And this is how they created the scene:

I've been in with Grey Crowned and Demoiselle, and only the Demoiselles were aggressive :p

It was springtime with a pair so maybe they were breeding/nesting? They hardly got too close and keepers kept them back when they did but they were displaying extremely aggressively towards anyone around them.

Mine were aggressive when nesting, and the male was parent reared. They are less dangerous than the other cranes because they're smaller. The only (and I'm not sure completely trustworthy) record of anyone being killed by a crane, involved a Demoiselle (stabbed through the eye). Still my favourite birds.

As far as I know, wattled cranes are by far the most aggressive crane species in captivity, followed by the red-crowned.

Wild Sandhills are very tame. Wild cranes are generally slightly tamer than their captive counterparts, and (as mentioned elsewhere on this thread) hand-raised/imprinted cranes are super aggressive.

I agree the Demoiselle is generally the tamest species, though breeding cranes of any species may be aggressive, regardless of origin.

I was pretty up close to a wild pair of Sandhill Cranes once, thankfully they were quite calm.

Hearing their calls only several feet away was amazing! I hope to get some more up close footage soon. Hopefully I made a good first impression.
