I live in Germany near the border of the Netherlands and so I have a lot of really good zoos close to my home. But if I could choose I would prefer to live close to the zoos of Doué la Fontaine and La Fléche in France. 
(And although I have never been there, a home close to San Diego would be fine, too, at least for a year or so.)
