Also note that the time this photo was taken, the Red River Hogs were in another exhibit, however they aren't destructive with it and it looks the same.

I know :) I was referring more to a photo with multiple species, which was what OC had been posting.

Lincoln Park has a nice suid collection. Red River Hogs, peccaries, and the usual domestic potbellied pig.

Brookfield honestly could be better. They have just red river hogs. But long ditched warthogs for some odd reason. That is honestly a suid that is worthy of conservation. There was also the glaring omission of a farm exhibit which surprise surprise also included pigs.

Thanks for your comment @Tapir Master !

I'll definitely check out Lincoln park in the gallery and see if I can find some shots.

Not sure I agree with you about warthogs and conservation as both species are least concern.

And the peccaries are Chacoan!

I believe the zoo with the best suid and peccary collection in South America is the one located in the city of São Paulo. They have warthogs and collared and white-lipped peccaries (they kept wild boars in the past as well). If we're also talking about animals kept in the past and at different times, I'd say the largest collection would be in Rio de Janeiro, since they had pigs, wild boars, collared and white-lipped peccaries and even red river hogs.

Yes I would agree about São Paulo zoo in South America but in wider Latin America I'm not sure and there may be a few contenders.

What happenend to the bearded pigs of London Zoo? I did see a couple in late 2019...

Do you know any other mixed species suid enclosures in zoos around the world ?

* Planckendael: white-lipped peccary and South American coati
* Beekse Bergen: red river hog and banded mongoose
* Blijdort (Rotterdam Zoo): red river hog and forest buffalo
* Dierenrijk: Visayan warty pig with Indian rhino, hog deer and nilgai
* Emmen (former zoo): red river hog with white rhino, zebra, giraffe, antelopes and ostrich
* Ouwehands: red river hog and African elephant

The largest collection of wild pigs and peccaries I have seen, would be in Zoo Berlin in 2015 with seven species kept. I understand the collection has downsized in following years, unfortunately.

Thank you for your comment @AWP !

Yes, I was suprised about this too as I also saw them alive during that time, but apparently they were euthanized shortly after which is really quite sad.

Thanks for that list, I'll have to check some of these out as they look very interesting.
