David Field is the Zoological Director i.e.the animal collection,Ralph Armond is the Director General of the society.Field has a wide experience within the UK zoo community for instance,Dudley,Edinburgh and Dublin[not strictly UK i know]

I was at Whipsnade today.

The photographers not only didn't force me to have my picture taken but actually, seeing me on my own, didn't even ask if I wanted it, and opened up part of the queue line to save me a walk! No complaints here.

Having been dropped off, I was without car, and couldn't bring myself to pay £4 for the train through the Asian paddocks so I made do with the views from the pathways. I really think that that is too high for me.

Otherwise a very pleasant day.
