A male white cheeked gibbon has been born at Perth Zoo, but is being hand-reared as his mother has not been able to care for him properly.

This is the first white cheeked gibbon born since last year, but unfortunately, last year's baby, born at Adelaide Zoo to mother Viet, did npt survive.

im fairly sure tha viann has raised a baby successfully before so i wonder what happened this time
 
This is fairly old news and I don't that it has been posted here yet but two cotton-top tamarins were born on the 26th of April.
