I sure am!
I saw it in 6th grade and it feels so great that the wait is finally over! I wonder if it'll be worth seeing in 3D in theatres instead of 2D.I didn't know they were making a sequel. I was in 2nd grade when the first movie came out. I'll see it, for sure.
PIXAR + Original movie idea = (Usually) great movie
PIXAR + Sequel(s) to an originally movie idea = Good, but not great movie(s) (Exception: Toy Story Trilogy)
I think it's one of those typical Americanisms where the phrase doesn't actually mean what it is intended to mean, like when Americans say/write "I could care less".Can I ask, is "excited for" a long standing term in the USA, as opposed to being "excited about" something?
You mean to say Cars 2 and Cars 3 were worse than Cars? Based on the original, I never gave either of the sequels a chance but find it hard to believe anything could be worse than the original #theonlywayisup?
"Brave" wasn't PIXAR at its best, either. And I also alluded to Finding Dory and Monsters University. Cars isn't a great movie, but it's to merchandise sales for boys what Frozen is for girls (trust me, I'm a father). That's why the sequels were actually made. And I somehow get the impression that the recent PIXAR movies have lost some of PIXAR's original magic and mojo.
They were better than Brave, Monster University etc., but story-wise, rather predictable. I don't feel like watching them ever again.Inside Out and Coco really brought it back.
You have to at least give Pixar credit for giving the raptors a feathery appearance, something that NEVER happened to the raptors in the Jurassic Park franchise. I'm excited to see Fallen Kingdom. Go Blue & Owen!!!!Cars 2 was horrible. Just horrible. Don't even get me started on it.
I didn't care for the first one but I thought the third one was good.
Inside Out and Coco really brought it back. But Brave was definitely one of their weaker films. They changed directors halfway through production and you can really tell, it's clear that the movie was made by people who had different visions for it. The Good Dinosaur, I think that's Pixar's second worst movie. (after Cars 2) It's like a boring version of Finding Nemo. And I was disappointed by the character designs, they're these generic cutesy dinos in a world of realistic backgrounds, which looks weird. But with how much science has changed, I think Pixar could have made some great, creative dinosaur designs and I was so disappointed that they went for boring, generic ones.
Anyway, saw Incredibles 2 last night, I loved it!
