Anybody know the place ?

Will be going next Thursday weather permitting hopefully it will be open and I will give a full report so any questions or if anyone knows about this collection could you please let me know what to look for.
Does anyone know if they have a website as I googled it and could not find anything

Just out of interest can anyone tell us how many collections have used the same name for their attraction/shop/exhibit etc?

Animal Adventure at ZSL, Longleat and now here!

Any more?

Id be interested to know how they acquired Goelds marmosets, an EEP species, im presuming private market.

Not too far from my moms house so will have to visit at some point.

Going by the video, I don't know quite what they spent a million quid on.

There are dozens of Goeldie's Monkeys outside of the EEP in the UK - zoos and private collections.

Garden sheds can cost a fortune....

And as it says somewhere, there's nothing that the owner doesn't know about animals. It really does look like a splendid addition to the zoo landscape...

Here we go again I only asked if someone had got a website address for the collection or any usefull information on it and what do we get lets have ago at a collection (mind you I have never been there but who cares).
I do wonder sometimes if it is worth asking for information on this site these days as there seems to be alot of lets knock the collection no matter what going on.

Any senseable information would help

Personally I would not comment on this collection or any other in fact before making a visit and drawing my own conclusions from it.

I too amm confused about how people can comment on this collection when there is just a short video which gives barely any impression of the enclosures. I feel it's ok to comment when zoochat photos because these present an unbiased view and usually show enclosures more clearlybut it's just impossible to judge from this video.

Good luck to this place I say!

It's a forum for discussion, people take the name Zoochat to mean they can chat about things!
There's one slightly negative post about what the video shows, a little discussion about a species of monkey, a slightly sarcy comment about the superlative level of knowledge claimed by the owner - hardly a major 'have a go at a collection.' If you don't want any comment/discussion maybe stick to Google, it doesn't answer back.

I do not mind a discussion but only from people who have actually been the collection would help as for watching a video I have seen many very negative video's and dvd's about many uk collections but I would rather visit a collection and then pass on a comment on the collection I have seen with my own eyes.
People used to say the camera never lies but now a days who knows

Oh yes, I'd agree. I too get frustrated, sometimes, when people denigrate places they have not seen. However, in this case, as Orangeperson says above, the comments made are hardly coruscating. And the signs for this collection do not auger well... it is an adjunct to a pet shop, it looks (looks, only - and the camera can lie) pretty cheap and cheerful in its construction, and, worst of all, its name does not smack of scientific integrity. It may well be wonderful, despite all of this, but next time I am in the area I think i would far rather head to Dudley.

While I agree we should be wary of too harsh criticism of somewhere we haven't seen first-hand, if we all only passed comment on places we'd been this would be a very quiet website.

And to be fair, a statement like the one below from Paradoxurus, while perhaps negative in tone, both makes it clear the opinion is only based on what can be seen in the video and admits to the possibility that the money has been spent on things not shown therein:

Going by the video, I don't know quite what they spent a million quid on.

I get what people are saying and I will post photographs and a report on this site.
Now I am slightly calmer I can see there point as I have just looked at the video.

It does not look much but then again I will still visit just to have a look,

Sorry if I upset anyone but kind of got on my soap box

Interestingly, Cage & Aviary Birds featured Goeldi's monkeys being advertised by a Wolverhampton pet shop during the early 90s. I wonder if there is a connection.
