If you read the comments left on the post at the bottom there is one that says they had a chimpanzee there so not just monkeys but apes
I’m more interested though in the Wellingborough zoo aspect, I’ve live around the area for a number of years and never hear of it, and I see it’s not in the media section but a quick google and it used to hold a number of big animals elephant, tiger, lion and polar bear to name a few all in total inadequate enclosures for today but still as any one else ever hear of this collection

Regard the tortoises. I have spoken to a colleague who works at Wicksteed Park and she told me that they came from a rescue centre in Portsmouth

Got some news. Wicksteed Park have just had goat kids born Wicksteed Park
On May 13th, the park announced that due to lower cases of avian influenza, they reopened the Woolloomooloo Aviary to the public.

Now this is something wonderful as the meadow which is owned by my wonderful friends at Wicksteed Park has just been transformed back to it's former glory and becomes a wildlife haven Kettering 'unloved' meadow transformed into wildlife haven

According to Facebook 2 new Rabbits has arrived and all they need is a name
So I see. One day Wicksteed Park would become a member of the BAIZA and EAZA. You never know they might set up a European Breeding Programme for Endangered Species and if they build a new zoo which might house Tapirs, Marmosets, Flamingoes, Penguins and more that would be the future to add as I did the survery the other day
