Maybe update the main article of zoos, and check every 15 minutes for vandalism of activists? ;)

I know that the ZooBeat member NZ Jeremy has done some fabulous editing work on some of New Zealand's zoos and aquariums, particularly Auckland Zoo.

ive done nearly all southern england zoo pages (lol)

my list includes:

monkey world, marwell, chessington, paignton, colchester and longleat

I keep getting banned from Wiki for misuse of the site. This is a surprise to me because I have never posted anything.

Wiki of course is comepletey unreliable, because anyone can edit the articles. So not only is there the risk of "vandalism" as pointed out, but there are all those well-meaning people who think they know the ins and outs of zoos, but they don't work in them, and often, post misleading or incorrect information.

The infamous "Sainslee Zoo" was a classic case of one young man's fantasy life that many people read and belived to be complete true.

Yes I have edited zoo articles in the past - in fact I even wrote one myself, for Cotswold Wildlife Park. I also wrote most of the exhibit descriptions for Chester. I did it because articles were incomplete, inaccurate or simply missing.

I haven't edited any of them for a long while but there are still several zoo articles on my watchlist, and they rarely (if ever) get vandalised. However the quality of a lot of them still leaves much to be desired. The Colchester article used to read like an advert for the place, going on about "much-loved" animals... I hope that's changed now. And the Twycross article got hijacked by somebody who was clearly very passionate about hybrid tigers ;)

I have moved on to wildlife documentaries now and I'm in the process of building my latest masterpiece ;), this: Wild China

I seen once on Wikipedia article about Zebra Crane, a bird which lives in Antarctica and lays fur-covered eggs so they stay warm!

Must be on zoos top-wish list! ;)

While the above is undeniably true the amount of editors acting in good faith largely outnumbers those who are not and wikipedia had been becoming exponentially better especially over the last two years... In my experience the nature of the site attracts the intelligent and passionate and vandalism has lasted less then 24 hours in most cases and very rarely over 1 week...

I am admittedly baised due to my home page:
