Tanganyika has a southern Black
Pittsburgh, but that's kind of a special case.
I agree. For all of the stuff there putting into the safari park, and the frequency they are adding them, along with some decent enclosures, I will defnalty be coming back every few months to see the progress they have done. For now, I am just waiting for updates on the rhinos they will bring in.This place is seriously impressive for what it is and the effort they put into it, it must be one of the better non-AZA or ZAA institutions around the US.
From this source (6-15-2021):WF is adding some rather massive upright poles (looks like old telephone poles cut in half) to make a new enclosure in the drive through safari. No real clues as to what is going in the enclosure. My guess would be rhino?
Mystery solved, thanks for posting! From this source (6-15-2021):
"We have plans for a really big, heavy, one-horned animal that will be in the new Safari expansion section in four to six months."
Obviously its going to be Indian Rhinos! Maybe some youngsters from White Oak or Rum Creek perhaps?
I'm going in March so I'm excited to see if they have them on display yet.Mystery solved, thanks for posting!
They have a petting zoo, I do not remember what is in it, but certainly some domestic goats or sheep. Also dromedary camel, zdonk and zorse, and at least until 2020 they had brahman cattle, scottish highland cow, and I believe ankole-watusi (or similar). This is my ungulate list for here, based on social media in the last year. Am I missing anything they definitely have currently? No domestics.

They also have a bongo. He is located in a paddock near the giraffes, and one can see him going up the giraffe feeding ramp.
