I will look at it as soon as I can.


And I know that nobody asked, but in addition to the ungulates, they also have islands of ring tailed lemurs, pools of alligators and crocodiles, and ostrich, emu, and rhea in the safari park.

Mystery solved,

I just talked to someone who works there and they confirmed it's actually Southern White Rhinos they're bringing to the drive-thru safari park. They should have said "two-horned" in the original article.

They'll be white, with a chance at Indian. There's no black outside AZA.

There are several Black Rhinos outside of the AZA, though I'm unsure if any are Eastern Black. Tanganyika, White Oak (though an AZA partner), Chehaw, and a couple of private holders all carry the South African subspecies.

EDIT: just saw your other post about Chehaw. Regardless, there are Black Rhinos outside of the AZA, albeit few and unaffiliated with the AZA Eastern SSP.

I'm assuming AZA captive-bred individuals from places that need to rehome their growing White Rhino herds. I didn't hear where specifically they were coming from.
