On May 24th, the zoo announced that a (1.0) red-ruffed lemur named Eep was born in April.

On August 14th, it was reported that 13-20 people were injured after 2 airboats crashed into each other during routine tours causing the facility to close the tours from August 16th to September 6th. All people who suffered injuries have since been released from the hospital.

On January 5th, 2024, the zoo announced they acquired a (1.0) crocodile monitor named Buggy which is now on exhibit.
