Wildwood Discovery Park Wilding Kent

They will have been fathered by one (or both?) of the young bulls that came down from HWP. The original bull died.
It is said the current herd has 1 bull, 3 cows and 4 calves only.

This Notion still makes me feel uneasy: QUOTE .. "European bison are classified as dangerous wild animals in UK law, meaning they need to be kept separate from the public."

So, curious enough wildlife ar the danger to man and society and not the other way round. In Western Europe and the British Isles we have a lot to learn about biodiversity conservation and how we deal with wildlife vis a vis humankind.

AND: This is NOT EVEN considering how - in effect - domestic livestock/cattle - can be quite a health hazard to the average farmer (far too many accidents with a cow going for the farmer ...).

Either they computed the original information( a single bull from Europe originally joined the cows)
and added the extra calves- or one of the new younger HWP bulls that replaced him, has died but I see no reason it should have done.

In this case, is it not the use of the word 'wild' which is causing the confusion? - when in fact it is a large fenced enclosure with no public access, from what I can see.
So, sounding good on the sound-bites, but not actually 'wild' at all, and indeed separate from the public.

The Bulls that came down to replace the late Hades and Orsk from HWP are in the wildwood zoo enclosure. There is a 3rd bull which is Roaming in the Blean with his harem and 3 young calves. The area of the Blean is fenced off but is huge and left in a wild state, so not 100% but the best we will get at this present time in Kent
