Wildlife 'Encounters' in Zoo's

I guess this wouldn’t really count as a zoo but it does have the seas pavilion. One time when I was probably 7, I saw a Florida soft shell turtle in the lagoon. I took a lot of pictures of it and was amazed. I was kinda dumb back then and thought it was a pig nosed turtle. Those live on the other side of the world though.

Knowing the existence of pig-nosed turtles at 7 is not being dumb at all

Low flying eurasian cranes in Rostock, which made zoo pair of white-naped cranes go mad.

This made me remember of the wild Eurasian cranes which flow over the behind the scenes crane / stork breeding-station at Weltvogelpark Walsrode in the late 1980s. Here also the captive cranes ( around 12 - 14 species ) called back to the wild calling cranes .
