Wildlife Park For Sale

Is it the land or the business and the land? They are the tenancy holders on the land. They posted about this in November saying they may have to relocate? So should a buyer come in, they obviously would remove the animals and exhibits, unless things have changed now, and it's the business and the exhibits and animals for sale? If that's the case, 950K is good value, if it's just the land and the exhibits and animals will leave and be relocated, then it could be expensive. Hmmm

This is a great question and I would be curious to know more. I have close friends in Sheffield who are familiar with the farm but it's also just unusual a property like this is for sale. Perhaps if the buyer is sympathetic they may stay? Or is it for sale because they might relocate?

Reading the ad, it’s for the land (‘freehold’) and the business (‘going concern’).

Pretty attractive price, given the location near a large city without an existing zoo, the decent land size and existing visitor amenities. Who wants to live the dream?

I doubt if this would suit an Aussie @CGSwans. South Yorkshire can be bitterly cold.

We suffered on our visit to YWP - almost as cold as Canada!!!

It’d be slightly less of a shock for me than for a soft Queenslander who has to wear a scarf and booties whenever it drops below 25, but yes, noted.

Got a feeling it's been sold. As Mayfield Alpaca's have said on social media they are closed and moving to a new site, so what actually is for sale, I do not know.

I've personally sent email to the estate agent to try and get clarity of what's available, but thus far no reply. But if Mayfield Alpaca's are moving, it would suggest most of the animals / exhibits will be to and that maybe the site has already been sold.

If people are still looking for a zoo for sale, Animal Haven Zoo in Weyauwega, Wisconsin is planned to go up for sale in a couple of years.

Is this one of those 'Wisconsin special' places?
If by this you mean a very poor roadside zoo, then yes. But it is one I think that, with some effort, love and money, could turn into a really nice little place. It's on a very large and beautiful property.
