According to historical data, around 2016 Wildlife World Zoo did have a female Galapagos tortoise (hatched at Oklahoma City Zoo in the 1990's, a pure vandenburghi) left.I also remember Aldabra, not sure if they have Galapagos. When I visited Phoenix Herpetological Society a few years ago they had both.
Previously, they had 3 more, 2 hybrids and 1 becki male wild born. The latter three are all lost to follow up, which seems kind of strange for a big tortoise!!!?.
I wonder where the Galapagos tortoise may have ended up (as they cannot be traded over state borders)?
