I uploaded a whopping 322 photos from my visit on July 11th, 2023. The gallery should now be fully updated for quite some time! Wildlife World Zoo has an extraordinary number of species, from an amazing lineup of ungulates to loads of primates and everything else one can imagine. It's really too bad that the exhibit quality is all over the place, from some great aquarium tanks and hoofstock paddocks to some terrible enclosures. Later on, I'll type up a review on my road trip thread.

Thanks for taking the time to upload all of those pictures!

It is true, they have a TON of animals, it takes a full day to see it all - and that is without really stopping long anywhere. You could pretty easily stretch it to a day and a half if you wanted to. There is just soo much to see.

Yeah, that pretty much sums them up. Being private and having a focus on breeding to sell makes for a interesting collection of animals and fair amount of repeat enclosures. The aquarium could stand alone as a facility itself. The "Old Zoo" has the worst cages, but things seem to be improving all over the zoo, over time....with the glaring exception of the black bear enclosure.

According to a Facebook post the Penguins, train, and kangaroo walkabout are closed through August for maintenance and renovations.

This is what the zoo looked like when I first visited in 2011:

Then, by 2013, a 4th Aquarium building had opened (River Monsters), as well as the Dragon World complex:

By 2016, the zoo had substantially increased in size with Adventureland and Safari Park, as well as a California Sea Lion exhibit:

Which brings me to 2023, with an even greater sized Safari Park area:

The catch with Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park is that some of the worst exhibits, including many for primates and birds, have never been changed with all of the park's various expansions.

I was just there a few days ago....it'll be a while before it's ready
I know it is a private zoo and things take a while....but it was nearly complete (about the same as it was a few months ago) when I was there in October 2022....that's a long time.

I unexpectedly found some new information for their giant tortoises. In fact, it seems they still hold at least 4 individuals, just they are not mentioned in zoo quotes or by AZA anywhere.

The interesting fact is they held 6 at one time and apparently lost 2 of these due to unwelcome guests in a theft. It seems that criminal activity around trading in giant tortoises is more widespread than one might think at first sight. A case in point, a well known private breeder got raided quite recently and lost a valuable female in a hit and run operation. This along with the recent publicised theft of giant tortoises at OKC Zoo by a former employee (following a prosecution through the courts).
Anyone been to WWZoo and can update us on Galapagos giant tortoises here?

Haven’t seen the tortoises. Aviary in the safari still no progress, the weird exhibit with no barriers and a waterfall that says coming soon near the jaguar and lions is unfinished though work has been done, one tank in the WWZ is fixed and a small mammal house tank has been closed next to the ground squirrel.
