At the end of last month an European bison (Bison bonasus) was born.

Recently Eurasian wolves (Canis lupus lupus) were born to the surprise of everyone. Last year 2 females were born, eventhough the male was sterilized. After this he was sterilized for the second time with no result it seems. Now all wolves in the zoo will be sterilized.

The zoo has decided to temporarily stop keeping wild boar in order to prevent an outbreak of the African swine fever.

Other news, the zoo got 3 young Arctic wolves (Canis lupus) from Adler-und Wolfspark Kasselburg.
