Colchester Zoo Wilds of Asia

Just been reading about the Wilds of Asia development on the website. Does anybody know if the Rufous Hornbills are included in this new area, or is it just the Rhinoceros Hornbills?
Also, does anybody know at what age Rufous Hornbills develop the red bill and casque? I've been looking at the photos in the Colchester gallery, and the birds look quite young.

Im wondering when the exhibits will be completed as I want to visit this easter but only want to visit if the red pandas are on show.

Unfortunately only the Rhinoceros hornbills are included in theis development. I think that I read the development will now be complete by easter time

On my last visit to colchester, I noticed that the end of the bill towards the eye of one of the birds was starting to turn red, it will certainly be very nice to see the pair once they have fully developed.

The jeep in the Pileated Gibbon enclosure is ment to be there from the pictures on the fb and the Red Panda enclosure is brilliant!

Forgot to add Burmese Pythons,Lion Tailed Macaque and Rufous Hornbills have been added extensions in the Wilds of Asia.

The pythons, macaques and sail fin lizard have been there all the time!!!

Now I'm interested in what will go where the rufous hornbills used to be- hopefully the oriole and crowned pigeons will get this area back.

I really like this new development. I was there for an orang keeper shadowing experience the weekend before last. The red pandas were not only awake, but moving and eating too! I have put a fab pic of one of them on Colchester's facebook group.
