Some new arrivals to the park for Easter are a pair of pardine genets and a male Von der Decken's hornbill. Also, a white porcupine has been born recently.

That would be my assumption, too :) been aware of them and their collection for a while, but have never presumed to try to contact them.

That said, it is *so* frustrating knowing someone living less than ten miles from me has so many juicy species.....

He has a lovely collection and supplies many zoos in the UK and Europe with foods, so I'm surprised the genets were not snapped up by a zoo before!

Wingham now have a Female Von De Deckens Hornbill. Yesterday they announced the arrival of Female Red Panda from Colchester to join the current male.

A male dwarf crocodile and a pair of spectacled caiman have arrived at the park from France.

In more exciting news, Ping the female smooth-coated otter has had a litter of 7 cubs (3 females and 4 males) born on Wednesday 11th June.

Excellent news about the Smooth-coated Otters.

As for the news about the Crocodile and Caiman, lets just hope they have now learn't from past mistakes and these animals last alot longer than some of the others have in the past!

Fantastic to hear, Colchester have also produced another cub as well so this is great news.

This place is definitely moving up the list of "to visit" collections, hopefully I'll be there before too long. (Fingers crossed! ;))

Fingers crossed! It's been a big year for Wingham so far.

The smooth coated otters have also been venturing out into the main enclosure.

A spix's owl monkey has been born! :) (also two cotton top tamarins) work will also start on a massive new building on the site of current parrot house!

Fantastic news; a European first breeding of the taxon!
