Interesting. I knew about the Tigers, but I had no idea Sandwich has/had a Pygmy Hippo?

I wonder if the plan was take the tiger who recently passed away as well.
 
if tigers move to jimmeys i asume chessington are doing away with them despite all that money being spent on super douper encloseures

To be fair, I think Amur tigers (what Chessington's got) would make a great addition to Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park if they are going. Not only would they become the first cat species to add to their collection, but they would fit in really well among their large carnivore selection which includes Arctic wolves, Polar bears and European brown bears.

I was more surprised when I heard Wingham were looking to receive Asian lions... I take it they'll stick with that subspecies in future once Clarence eventually passes.

With months of planning, early mornings, and late nights, it is finally time to welcome Duke and Tora our two tigers here at Wingham Wildlife Park. Of course, some of you may remember or even recognise these two majestic animals, who used to live over at the sandwich park. Although they are not ready to be seen by the public, they are well and truly getting settled in their new home and we can’t wait to show you guys even more sneak peaks.

With a brand-new enclosure, the tigers have plenty to explore, including their two new bedrooms, an indoor enclosure with a pool and a spacious outdoors. Stay tuned for more content!
 
Were the tigers born at Sandwich or brought in from another previous collection?
 
If i remember correctly they swapped them for some ring tailed lemur with a place in Lithuania
 
Any idea of when the hippo and rhino but be arriving, im putting off a vist until they are on show.
 
I know most of this has been covered already but good to recap, just watched the Wingham tiktok live and they were showing the 2 new tigers(brother and sister), they only showed the indoor area but looks impressive, in the same building opposite will house the 3 breeding Asian lions(1 male 2 female), and in the same area will be the rhino,pygmy hippo and one other unnamed species.
Wingham Certainly is building for the futre.

Do you know if they have the lions yet and if so where are they from
