This is very bad news.
Not necessarily. It could be the perfect opportunity for a UK ZooChatter to finally run their own zoo!
Maybe so, but (and I do not know the reasons) I am very sorry for Grenville and Anita Allen that they feel they must put up for sale the lovely place they have created. They are lovely people too.

Wingz Bird & Animal Sanctuary Up For Sale
It is with great sadness we have to announce that we are putting Wingz up for sale. It has not been an easy decision but we have to do what is best for Wingz, the birds and animals and us as a family.
Wingz had a very rocky start which was well documented in the press but there were many issues which weren’t publish or released as we are not those kind of people. We had bad initial advice from our first accountant, planning delays and Anita was unfairly dismissed when in an act of revenge the previously mentioned accountant then took her job, along with many other issues and even last year a local holiday park took over £1000 for advertising and then didn’t deliver, instead of making a fuss we decided to put this behind us and carry on and make Wingz the success it has become.
Unfortunately while Wingz was growing and becoming a success in Cornwalls tourism portfolio achieving many awards, personally having put everything into it and taking those financial issues on personally to give Wingz the help it needed to succeed has left us personally unable to meet the new rise in our mortgage payments. The continuing economic climate means we are unable to negotiate a new deal and to safeguard Wingz future we either have to sell or raise £203,000. The second option being highly unlikely we have to be realistic and offer Wingz and its residential accommodation on the open market.
Wingz is set in a 3 acre site and includes a gift shop and tea room, award winning toilets, and over 60 animal enclosures. In addition it has a 3 double bedroom farmhouse and 2 bedroom let along with various outbuildings including one which could be converted to another let.
We would like to thank all those who have supported us over the last 8 years and for your continued support of Wingz and its work in the future.
