I have been involved now for a few months with Wombat Awareness Organisation in South Australia .Have a look at the offical site .They are needing a hand to raise money to buy 12,000 acres of land to save a habitat of Southern Hairy Nosed Wombats .Its been a real eye opener seeing Wombats being burnt alive ,buried alive and blown up .The main problem is cow boys getting drunk and shooting the Wombats, leaving them to die ..Please read the link or go to Peel Zoo Pinjarra Mandurah Western Australia - Natures Education Centre

I hope you took rego numbers and photos or video as evidence and reported what you saw and who did it to the police.

How did you know they were cowboys, do you know where they work? I think you would be better describing them as criminals as this would be more accurate.

Yes Monty we have all of that and evidence is in police hands as well deh and rspaca. Please don't treat me like an idiot or condescend my words ,we are all professional people who spend our own time and money to help animals all over the world, i for one wont.
bother sharing my stories if you are going to write in such a demeaning fashion .The police have been very helpful .as has all the evidence.

I think what monty was refering to was your Refernce to Cowboys, you could of just as easily said "yahoo's" or something similair. something that doesnt have to with someones profession.

I believe people who commit criminal acts should be called criminals as that is what they are. You had a previous post accusing large segments of the community, and groups I belong to of criminal acts and I found that offensive and discriminatory. I will be very happy when anyone committing these illegal acts are convicted, but find the way these acts are being reported are not helping, and are discriminating against large segments of the community without facts to support it.

I have many friends in SA who hunt pest animals. I would be happy to do a trip over there hunting Foxes, Rabbits, cats and any other introduced pests to help our native species and I would take details and report any suspicious people or vehicles I see to police. But acording to you people like me are the problem not the solution. You stated to me "Please don't treat me like an idiot", but that is what I feel you have done to people such as myself. The easiest way to catch these criminals would be to get locals and people who use the bush for recreation onside not make them think you are against them. Maby I got your posts wrong but that is what it sounded like to me.
