In a new video for the Zoo's tiger spotlight this week, they actually tease at the addition of a new Tiger (they don't say specifically but I'm 99% sure it's a Malayan) to the zoo. I'm guessing it's most likely a cub since the two at the zoo are a Male / Female pair I believe, but I can also see it being another adult. They say in the comments they'll make an announcement soon, but either way it goes, this is really exciting

The new voice coming from the behind the scenes tiger yards does not say 'I am a cub.'
Woodland Park Zoo is very eager to make its own cubs!

I am not sure it is that the resident females are not promising as surrogates. I think it is, rather, a matter of weighing how long it might take to train the great, loving moms who have never been surrogates versus going for an already skilled loving surrogate who could welcome him very quickly.

The baby, now named Abeo, has moved to the Louisville Zoo in Kentucky.

The cubs have been called LENNY, PHYLLIS and RAYA.
