Is it just me that doesn’t think it looks very deep? I’m guessing it’s going to be netted over as well so possibly to share with Inca terns?

If you have Instagram then have a look at their story today and you get a bit of a better idea of the size. I think you have to follow them first before you can see it but I might be wrong.

Thanks. I think it's pretty clear it is going to be an aviary-style enclosure, although they may just be going to put shade cloths overhead. The pool looks a good size and fairly deep - there are two people there for scale.

Is there old tropical house, still quite cool ? Where the sloths are, or is it back to being heated ?

It's somewhat cool - In the new house, they have Pied Tamarins and Golden headed lion Tamarins... That's all I can remember off the top of my head.
Last time I visited, which was well over a year ago, I think they just had two species of tamarin and a small tropical fish tank so it doesn't sound like they did much last year. I'm sure it's where the indoor enclosure for the red pandas will be and that was planned for last year but never materialised.

Yes there was signs for it being Red Panda when I visited in the summer of 2017. Glad to see they are finally getting some.
They will be getting the Red Pandas from Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park once they reach around 6 months of age and onwards - the path towards the enclosure is not yet completed - I'm not sure as to what state the exhibit is in, but work has most certainly begun.

Just a small update from Woodside.
The Red Pandas are arriving in 2 weeks from Birmingham Nature Centre.
The Penguin exhibit should be completed by the end of April. The Penguins are coming from Folly Farm in Wales.
They will be sharing their exhibit with Inca Terns.
Next to the Penguins will be a Vulture Exhibit. They would like these to be Ruppells Griffon Vulture, but could also be White Backed Vulture (possibly both).

Staff at the wildlife park have managed to recover eggs laid by a pair of endangered Siamese crocodiles.
