World of Birds - Cape town

Visited this zoo today and had a very mixed experience. Most of the aviaries were overstocked and many of the enclosures were either run-down, dirty, or far to small. There was also a walk-trough aviaries for Southern Ground Hornbill, Black Casqued Hornbill, and Black-And White Casqued Hornbill, all of which weren't rather large and definitely made me uncomfortable. Some of the aviaries has Giant Golden Orb-Weaver Spiders hanging above you at the entrance, which certainly didn't help with my fear.
On the other hand, there were some considerably rare species here, such as Cape Fox, Cape Bushbuck, Cape Duiker, Booted Eagle, the Casqued Hornbills, and several others. Some of the open-air enclosures were okay, but nothing really outstanding. There was a small Reptile House at the start that was pretty good when compared to the rest of the zoo, and many of the smaller new-world primate enclosures weren't terrible.
I might go into more depth later, but for now, those were my quick thoughts on this place.

Sad to hear that you did not enjoy your visit! World of Birds is one of the few zoos in South Africa I have not been to, I'd like to see you go into more depth and upload media if possible.
Cape Town has never been a zoo strong city, when Tygerburg Zoo closed in 2014, It was left without a city zoo, and World of Birds does not fill this niche.
Will you be visiting any others zoo during your stay here? If you remain in the Cape Town area I'd recommend Two Oceans Aquarium, Monkey Town and Drankenstein Lion Park.

I've already been to Two Oceans, and don't have time to visit the others, as I leave Cape Town in about 4-5 hours. There were some parts I did like, such as the Bushbuck, Cape Duiker, Cape Fox, some of the primate enclosures, and the Creature Room. There were also some aviaries that were passable, and some that were actually pretty good, but overall not a very good zoo.
