Worst AZA Zoos

There are many fantastic accredited zoos, but what AZA accredited zoo do you think is the worst? Personally, while I've never been there, I can't believe the Downtown Aquarium Houston is accredited, what with that horrific white tiger facility and the rest mostly there to attract people to a crummy restaurant, not to mention Landry's possible ties to the mafia.

To answer this question I think we'd need a full list of every AZA zoo first. Is there one anywhere?

There are plenty of AZA zoos that take care of their animals, but just have low quality out of date exhibits. ZooAmerica is an example that while I wouldn't say it is bad, the exhibit quality is definitely not up to date.

Some of ZooAmerica's exhibits are okay. For instance, some of the desert exhibits. I also like the Southern Swamps building

The Capron Park zoo is also still good, but some of their exhibits need revamps (such as the lion exhibit).

What is with your constant hate for ZooAmerica? Their otter exhibit is perfectly fine and similar to nearly every otter exhibit out there.

I'm not constantly hating, I actually thought it was nice, but I think that they really need revamps on some of their exhibits.

Even the staff there thought they needed a new otter exhibit.

You've been complaining about it since you joined, though, on every thread you possibly could. It's a nice zoo and they take fantastic care of their animals. None of the keepers I've interacted with have expressed any issue with the otter exhibit, and I find it hard to believe a staff member would verbally say something given the problems they've had with ARA.

They did have some very outdated exhibits when I visited, but have thankfully made a few improvements since (the new Thick-Billed Parrot exhibit looks very good). I'm also just hoping for some more improvements in the future to some of the outdoors exhibits.

Plus my standards were still pretty high when I visited, but are not as high anymore after visiting even more facilities.
