Of course this is all opinion, so my choices are bound to stir up some arguments...

San Antonio Zoo
Edmonton Valley Zoo (1 elephant; I believe their takin exhibit is bigger)

However, San Diego Zoo is still up in the air for me...

(edit)
EO may not be the worst, nor even close to the top 25 worst, but I think the question is more if it was disappointing or not. Like if the hopes were set too high and then it resulted in a massive failure.

Western Lowland Gorilla...

Ah! Buffalo..the first grotto abomination and imho a reason why this zoo should not keep gorillas. :(

Brookfield..the second and for the obvious reason of repeating myself, ill move on to...

Philadelphia..http://www.zoochat.com/837/gorilla-exhibit-103073/

No imagination, the most dreadful outside exhibit surely in the states.

I dont think LA or San Diego WAP should get away without critisism either. :(

From those 40 zoos and aquarias I have seen in the USA (and from exhibits that still exist):

Asian Elephant = Elephant Odyssey, San Diego Zoo
Sea Lion = SeaWorld San Diego (to crowded)
Amur Tiger = Riverbanks Zoo Columbia (I presume there are some worser)
Manatee = Living Seas Epcot Center Kissimmee

Point and senseless thread-I think, most people here judge an exhibit only by personal taste,or who is judging them out of the view of the animals and their needs ? Nevertheless, who does or who can, if not a Zookeeper ?

PS : A phantastic looking exhibit don't has to be a good exhibit, and a bad looking exhibit don't has to be a bad exhibit. From my point of view-most good looking exhibits are only build for the visitors. Best expamples are both Aspinall-Zoos-exhibits build for animals and not for visitors, I like that !

Another pointless thread...

I agree. Absolutely no good can come with such a thread. Lets please focus on the positive and not give the anti-captivity types more fodder with uneducated opinions and aesthetic judgements.
