Amazona Zoo Worth a visit?

I will be in North Norfolk in two weeks, volunteering at a nature reserve. I have Bank holiday monday off. Is this zoo worth a visit as it is a one hour and a quarter bus ride from where I am. (the jaguar enclosure looks basic in the pictures) and how busy is it likely to be.

I visited last september, whilst it was still new and so fairly quiet. It is a very nice little Zoo, and has been themed nicely. The cat enclosures are an ok size but theres no much in them. Definatly worth a visit though

It's alright.

If you have an afternoon to spare then go for it. It's only a small place, but it is nice. I only managed to spend about 3 hours there and I took my time, and did several laps.

Cat enclosures are low budget and fairly basic, the rest of it is generally a higher standard.

It probably won't be packed, but being small it doesn't take many people before it starts feeling crowded.

Hi I went to Amazona last weekend and had a great time. I saw this thread from Richie Hell from nearly three years ago If you have an afternoon to spare then go for it. It's only a small place, but it is nice. I only managed to spend about 3 hours there and I took my time, and did several laps.

and still found it to be accurate description of the zoo.

Highlights for our visit were that the two Jaguars, two Pumas, one Ocelot and one Margay were all awake and visible. There are a lot of wildfowl near the entrance and other animals include; Greater Rhea, BrazilianTapir, Capybara, Parrots, Caiman (we counted 10), Spider Monkeys, Raccoons, Owls, American Otter and some smaller monkeys.

Certainly worth a visit if you are visiting Norfolk and for us was better value for money than the Long Sutton Butterfly and Wildlife Park which we also visited during this holiday.
