A respectable age. I believe the group is ageing and the last individuals were born early 1990's.

Have Wroclaw's chimpanzee ever been analysed for their. genetics (ssp. P.t. verus, troglodytes, schweinfurthi or ellioti)?

Yes, you are right. They are quite old, oldest female is 45-years old, the second female and the male, not much younger. All Wrocław born chimps are hand-reared. They never been analyzed for their subspecies status.
Ape house is complety outdated. There were plans to create an enclosure for orangutans after the chimpanzees left. But no specifics.
 
On Friday, Manas, a male Indian rhinoceros, left the zoo. On Monday he arrived at the Cordoba Zoo, where female will soon join him. In his place male named Kuba from Warsaw Zoo will come to Wrocław.

Golden takins arrived in Wrocław in 2017 (they replaced mishmi takins). The current group is 4,4. Male born in Liberec, females born in Berlin Tierpark and Dresden and born in Wrocław: male in 2021, pair in 2023 and pair in 2024.
 
Land of Flamingos was opened yesterday. It is located in the same place where flamingo pond was, but it is much enlarged. Now it is a walk-through aviary under net roof. Four other species of waterbirds have been added: Black-headed ibises, White-winged ducks, Baer's pochards and Fulvous whistling ducks.

French lionesses will come from Zoo African Safari in Plaisance du Touch.

There are not many animals that we used to reffer by name - Baby, Amahoro, Idris, Klemens...all part of the European Zoo Hall of Fame.
Next visit to Wroclaw will be a bit sad experience.

Kiran, Indian rhinoceros female born in Wrocław in 2021, left the zoo today and went to Zoo de La Fleche in France. Interestingly, male waiting for her also was born in Poland (Byś from Zoo Warszawa, second Indian rhino born in Poland).
