Thanks for the information, so they will be next to the Wisent (zubry)? I don't really know where the Asiatic part of the zoo is, is it the area around the new Indian rhino house and old elephant/hippo house?
 
Yes, they will be next to wisents. Asiatic part of the zoo is situated mostly in old zoo (before 1957) it's around rhino house, elephant house, reptile house, bird house, monkey house, brown fur seals and big pond.
 
New species in Wrocław, which arrived in recent weeks:
- Pileated gibbons (Hylobates pileatus), male from Zurich, female from Mulhouse
- 3 Green anacondas from Zurich
- Loggerhead sea turtle from Plock Zoo
- 4 Purple Swamphens
- 2 Beaded lizards
- 4 dwarf crocodiles
- four-toed hedgehog
- Vinaceous-breasted Amazons
- Black storks
- Northern Shovelers

Animals born at Wroclaw zoo during last weeks :
- 2 Red ruffed lemurs
- Lac Alaotra bamboo lemur
- 5 Ring-tailed lemurs
- Barbary macaque
- Victoria Crowned Pigeon
- 4 Reindeers
- 2 Waterbucks
- Persian Fallow Deers
- Visayan spotted deer
- Mouflons

Its from visitors point of view so I dont know about everything.
 
Anacondas are not from Zuerich, but from Walter Zoo in Gossau. Pileated gibbons (for the first time we can see this species in Poland) replaced gray langurs in Terai (Rhino House).
 
One of Wroclaw's aardvarks (they're two males) will go to Madrid soon and from Madrid female will come to Wroclaw.

They are not related, the ones in Wroclaw arrived directly from Tanzania.
New inhabitants are also: 3 coscoroba swans from Dortmund, female blue-throated macaw from Tel Aviv, and Visayan spotted doe from Rotterdam
 
Today I got the information from Wroclaw Zoo that the Indian Muntjacs appeared to be "normal" Chinese Muntjacs. So in the fact, they do not have any Indian.
 
Indeed, the so called Indian muntiacs in Europe that are listed in ISIS (a couple of months ago there was quite a numer of them) , apart perhaps from 2 females in Obterre are ordinary Chinese muntiacs. Strangely enough no zoo ever questioned that (apart from Wroclaw, much to dismay of the Staff there) receiving those animals and again listing them as Indian in ISIS.

I would like to ask some Polnish zoofriendes on several issues. When is scheduled to open a new entrance ? Yesterday I read some article about acquiring new interesting species - Madagascan flying foxes. Is this astonishing and unique species visible for public ? Is there regular feeding time by the Red and White Giant Flying Squirrels ? This is an absolutely "must see" species for me, I would die not to see them.
Any response would be much appreciated.

New entrance was scheduled to be open in the summer. In my oppinion, it wont be ready soon. Maybe on july or even august.
There is no regular feeding time by giant flying squirells. Its not easy to see them. My efficiency is maybe 10%.
In Wroclaw Zoo there are Lyle's flying fox (Pteropus lylei), which live in Madagascar House. Its not a madagascan species.
 
The main gate will be probably opened in June, but precise day isn't known yet. These flying foxes aren't madagascan, these are Lyle's flying foxes. I don't know why zoo keeps them in Madagascar Pavilion, they probalby won't be moved to another house. They are visible for public, they (12 animals) live in free-flight hall. Squirrels aren't fed regularly. You must know that it's really hard to see them and maybe you will have to come to Monkey House a few times. Good luck :)

I thought they had Indian Flying Fox (Pteropus giganteus) in there? Or are the Lyle's a new species at the zoo?
 
Yes, they had old group of Indian flying fox, but most or all of them died, so Lyle's ones arrived from Terra Natura Alicante (Spain) and Randers Regnskov (Denmark) a few days ago.
