WWF not what it seems?

Not the first time the group has been criticized. If anyone on ZooChat reads the book and says it's good, I might check it out.

Isn't this just the book based on the author's 2011 documentary: Der pakt mit dem panda?

I got turned off of WWF about a year ago when I found out they joined a bunch of animal extremist groups in pushing a proposal to Congress to try to ban big cat breeding in the USA (or something along those lines). One of the groups that would have been affected is Cat Haven, which supports so many field conservation projects it is mind boggling. Here a supposed conservation group (WWF) is fighting against other conservation groups because someone in their organization got sucked in by the lies of extremists without checking the facts.

... They actually did that? I'm quite surprised about their stance on captive breeding, considering a while back, a bunch of people were making a stink about how WWF having a partnership with SeaWorld.
