Hello!

Found this forum because of the Speculative Zoo Design section. I’ve long been interested in zoos and understanding how they are designed and operated.

My username comes from my love of SeaWorld and the ocean. I grew up by the beach and miss it. I hope to move back when I have the means.

From my initial perusal of this forum, I’m quite impressed by the knowledge everyone has about zoos and animals. I hope to achieve that level of knowledge myself in time. Excited to learn from what this forum offers. :)

Aye nice to meet another SeaWorld enjoyer! I usually visit the San Diego park with Penguin Encounter (penguins in general) being my favorite with Wild Arctic close behind. Look forward to your contributions and all here, Welcome to ZooChat :)

Thank you! I love the San Diego location. It was the first one I went to as a kid, and I still have an orca puppet that I got from one of my visits when I was still in a stroller. :D I'm from California originally and I want to get a pass there when I move back.

I've also been to the Orlando location -- earlier this year was my first time visiting. Had a blast. As I recall, the penguin exhibit was cool and refreshing on a hot April day. Loved it. I haven't been to the Texas location but I definitely plan to.
