Oh goody,more kids play areas and catering.
Looking forward to Rhinos, just wondering if they are going to relocate the path that currently runs between the camels and African plains? (The council planning site link wont work for me
) Are they going to expand the Giraffe paddock or risk them in with the Rhino's?
Pity they don't bin off Project polar and put grizzly bears and brown bears in the 2 remaining bear enclosures. Would be great to see a big grizzly on top of the mound that's already created in the half finished enclosure.
And my moneys on Gorillas and not Orang's.

I don't think they are suicidal at YWP, so rhinos "in" with giraffe is a no goer. So, just expect a sound separate exhibit for them!

Why do you dismiss this idea out of hand Kifaru? They have Rhino's in with Giraffes and Eland etc at West Midlands Safari Park, why not at Y.W.P.??
It will be a huge enclosure when finished and its not as though they are competing for food.
When planning for black rhinos: not a very good idea ...!!! (unless you have more than acreage to spare ..., which in the case of YWP is not so).

Went to the park yesterday
Paths seem to have been relayed with new gravel throughout
Project Polar - keeper said they haven't mixed Nissan with Pixel and Victor yet because "twos company - threes a crowd" and putting Pixel with Nissan probably wold make Victor very jealous.
Project Polar - keeper said expecting another polar bear "in another month or so to keep Nissan company."
