I have also heard smaller babies that sound very much like(I think it is) the call of Diana monkey....

Footballers embracing after a Goal scored reminds me of victorious Chimps after a dispute.:)

I was fortunate to see Kakapo during my time in NZ. The one species I would still be prepared to travel like that to see- if it was possible that is- would be Spix Macaw. Always wanted to see one.

IF(and its a big IF!) the Thylacine was ever 'rediscovered' then I guess I'd have to get on a plane and travel all the way to Tasmania, that's if there was any chance of seeing it that is. I guess I wouldn't be the only one either.;)

I am convinced that it won't be 'rediscovered' though, its either extinct( the most likely) or there is something very odd going on and its been known to exist for many years but somehow kept under wraps. I can't see how the latter is possible over all this time though...:confused:

Laughing Owl? Would be nice but I wouldn't want to see it.
 
I wish I could turn around and find a Mastodon rummaging through my garden. Or would I need to find out one had been cloned or captured and that was at the zoo?
 
You don't plan on buying grandma's molasses anymore because they give money to the elephant sanctuary. The stuff is a pain in the neck to pour anyway, the opening on the top of the bottle gets sticky everywhere anyway; it is not as user friendly as the other brand.
 
Surrounded by people with colds, you find you've written Echidnacea tablets on your shopping list rather than Echinacea :eek:

- you are prepared to spend an hour discussing the pros and cons of immersion exhibits
- you get odd, illogical twitches at the sight of a Meerkat
- a chap from the North East chats with you on Facebook about medieval history..:p
 
- You find yourself always dreaming of having lots of birds in your backyard with nice landscaping, a water feature, koi, etc. Instead of this idea sounding like a chore to create or a lot of upkeep, it sounds fun and relaxing to you.

- You got your first peafowl from the local zoo.

- You get annoyed when people take close up photos of the animals and don't take photos of the exhibit because you want to see what the exhibit looks like and get ideas from the layout and the plant choices.

. . . or if you're trying to get a nice close up of an interesting animal and there's a geek who isn't even looking at it but keeps getting in your way ;) :D

1. You know its a Northern White Rhino
2. You know its significance

(along with pictures of Dragon flies, toads and Mustelids!)
 
You have just been out dog walking and seeing dark wooden diagonal fencing surrounding someone's bungalow reminds you of Colchester Zoo.

I saw both Northern White Rhinos at San Diego Safari Park back in 2011, before knowing the significance, therefore I took no pictures!
