My PC is not playing videos from the You Tube site.

I can't get you Tube videos to play although the ads are working.

I get the error, please try again message.

I have upgraded Firefox

I have upgraded Quick Time

I have cleared my cache and cookies

None of these actions has solved the problem.

Does anyone know how to get it to start working again?

I thought it was a rhyme, rap or long limerick. :D

Anyway, have you tried resetting your internet router? Or maybe it's an Adobe Flash issue - uninstalling and reinstalling Flash might work, or updating your version.

It seems like the issue lies with Flashplayer.

Uninstall Adobe Flash and all software with the word "flash" in it. Then go to Foxfire to make sure the flash add-ons have been removed. After that, go to the offical adobe flash website and install the latest version.

Thanks to both of you. I've had problems with Flash before.

I watched using Google Chrome as my browser and ever since it has worked in Firefox.

I don't have the latest version of Flash, when I try to install it my virus checker detects a problem and blocks me.

You Tube has stopped working again, I've uninstalled everything to do with Flash and reinstalled the latest Flash Player. Firefox was not listing any Flash add-ons at all, so I installed flash Control, and nothing on You Tube works at all. I'm not even getting the error message.

Have you tried deleting the cache in your history? I know if YouTube videos run slowly or out of synch with the sound that can be the problem. No idea if it can result in your problems but maybe worth a try.

Problem is back, I updated Firefox, that must be the cause. It seems to be a common error, so I think they should take a look at it and get the problem fixed.

This will solve all your problems once and for all.

1) Download this version of Firefox. It's the version that I use - Old Version of Firefox 11.0 Download - OldApps.com

2) Uninstall the currently installed Firefox

3) Install the old version that you downloaded

4) Go to OPTIONS, ADVANCED, UPDATE

5) Click on "Never check for updates"

6) Now you're set

I've just done that and still have the problem, also the writing on the screen has become very small.

For the writing just press CTRL and + to increase the size

Go to dailymotion.com and try to play a video there.

If you can't, there's a problem with the flashplayer plugin.

You'll have to uninstall the plugin from the Tools - Addon Menu
Then you'll have to go to Control Panel and uninstall everything having to do with Adobe Flash. Restart the computer. After that, install Flashplayer from the official site. Restart the computer.

Thanks cleusk,

I have done that, the old version of Firefox prevented me from using other sites and wiped out some passwords.

Firefox v 30 gives me the same problem as I had originally, I could not play videos on the dailymotion site, but Google Chrome is working at the moment.

If you're using Windows 8, that could be the problem. I wouldn't recommend that system to my worst enemy.

I would strongly advise that you stick with Chrome.

Step 1: unplug computer
Step 2: lift computer off desk and walk to open window
Step 3: throw computer out of window
Step 4: buy new computer

I refuse to carry out step 2. I can throw it through the window from my seat. I do not need to walk.
