You Tube

Does anyone know how to get You Tube videos to play? All I get is a black screen where the video ought to be.

This happened after the Flash update of 23rd June.

I installed an earlier version of flash and You Tube videos played, but all Flash videos on my PC did not.

I installed the latest version of Flash, which says the bug has been fixed, and all the videos on my PC play, those on You Tube do not.

Does anyone who knows more about computers than I do have any suggestions?

The problem is now solved. Apparently it is a bug in Real Player which is causing conflicts.

RealPlayer videos on my PC still wouldn't play. I changed the programme to open them to HiDefMedia Player and I have You Tube videos playing, and the .flv videos on my Pc playing.

Hope it works for you, I'm pleased that I was able to fix it, my computer knowledge level is about as low as is possible.
