Your land, your money, your zoo

The board walk across the bear enclosure leads to 'Ape Hill' this is the steep hill currently found at Newquay but alot larger (not taller but alrger in general area). this whole area is netted over. the board walk leads to a Longhouse which has glass viewing over the whole hill . its inhabitants are orangutans, who utilise the natural trees and lookout over the rest of the zoo from the mature trees atop of the hill. the enclosure features the steep bank and all the trees. from the longhouse is an path that leads back down to level ground, around a small pond with an island for silvery marmosets. there is a large maze which features statues of extinct species and remarkable naturalists. Out of the maze (which is considerably smaller than Newquay's) are two cages one for scottish wildcats and one for european minks. Behind these is a quarantine area ad further behind this is the cages for parrots and hutia. opposite the mink and wildcat is the house for orangutans (which is a standard house, nothing special). next to this is the oriental gardens. attached to the side of the orang house is a small netted enclosure for indonesian teal and purple swamphen. further along is a board which goes around the short clawed otter enclosure. There is a large avairy next to it with Black hornbill, blue magpie, white headed laughing thrush and red junglefowl. further around is the cage for owstons palm civet and a seperate cage for prevosts squirrel.

The path leads away from the oriental garden/corner and back to the tapirs and picnic areas.

i agree

Foz that is a excellent plan, yor ambitions would be perfect as a zoo manager. I honestly believe that a zoo like this would be very sucsessful, the variety of the natural world in this zoo is great. Well done. I also did not notice any spelling mistakes!

My zoo will be quite like fozs in its shape and design etc
their will be and entrance plaza, with an extioncion pole, a aviary, a primate cage for Javen langur and 2 small islands for emperor tamerins and greater malay chevrotain. also here will be a cafe serving small things such as small portions of chips, hotdogs, Pizza slices, baguetes soft drinks, squash, fruit juice teas and coffe. the main restraunt will be later in the zoo. I will post more later

This is my fantasy zoo.
My zoo is based on a piece of land to the rear of my house it as large flat areas and slight inclines and declines in some areas there are also some natural ponds these I have used for the Seals & Penguins
Each enclosure will have a area or a small cabin for photographs to use they will get a access card from reception booked in advance within these cabins or areas will be circular openings in to which they can place there lenses so making sure they have no interference from the enclosure for the taking of photographs. This will be done at own risk
There is also a safari walk over this is a raised level that goes over some of the enclosures (42, 44, 45, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 & 54) there are no bars and no glass it’s a raised level with gaps in the wooden floor in the gaps there is strengthened glass so you can see directly in to the enclosure. An access card will be purchased in advanced for the use to get on to the raised area’s (All proceeds going to the local animal charities)
There are several cafes selling sandwiches, cakes, ice cream, hot dogs, burgers, tea, coffee & pop.
The toilet blocks around site are all placed close to cafes (please note the cafe and toilet block are on a raised platform in enclosure number 37)
There is some additional land behind enclosures 23, 24 & 25 this is for the animal hospital which will be used by both the zoo and the general public.
The car park which is in front of the entrance area will host a farmers market the first Saturday of every month. A car boot the second Saturday. Outside animal displays the third Saturday (All these additional entertainments will be done on a part of the car park to the rear and all proceeds will again go to local animal charities)
We will also send out free admission tickets to the local hospices for there patients and families this way we can help out the local community as well as advertising ourselves in the press.
Christmas day the Zoo will be closed to the general public. There will be no firework displays at the zoo as it is feared this may upset some of the animals

Fire escapes are around the edge of the zoo these are marked up with a (0)
The following table is of the animals in all the enclosures please note some are mixed exhibits

I have just covered the tropical house and surrounding areas, which is next to the entrance (which is located at the south of the zoo).

Next is the North-east of the zoo, which has a chinese theme.

Right in the corner, there are four reasonably sized enclosures for Red Pandas, Wolverines, Pallas's Cats, and Malayan Porcupines. Surrounding that are paddocks for Przewalski's Wild Horses, Pere David's Deer, Bactrian Camels and Gaur.

In the South-east corner of the zoo is a group of five exhibits collectively called 'Little Africa'. The first exhibit is home to a pair of Aardvarks, the second to a small family of Kirk's Dik-Diks, the third is a mixed exhibit housing Meerkats and Yellow Mongooses, the fourth is also mixed, with Warthogs and Banded Mongooses. The final is a netted enclosure, which displays Dwarf Mongooses and Red-Billed Dwarf Hornbills. Plans for a walkthrough with African Birds (like Tsavo at chester), are being looked at.

Soon is part 3, which is the centre of the zoo, with a Brazilian themed exhibit and a Phillipines Themed Exhibit.

also will you be completeing this?
