Your most memorable animal interaction -petting zoos and touch pools

During the Sunrise Strolls at the San Diego Zoo I have been able to touch a skink, a miniature donkey, a emu, and feed a giraffe. But my favorite is when the animal chooses to come to you. The old spider monkey Joe greets me every morning I come to the zoo. He comes to the glass, makes faces at me then we walk to the end of the exhibit so he can vocalize to me. A few of the bonobos, Lana especially, will come to the window to play. It kind of freaks out the zoo visitors but I enjoy it.
 
The Melbourne Zoo has an excellent unmanned touch tank for Fiddler Rays in their otherwise rather awful Wild Seas exhibit. I think this is the best such exhibit I have seen.

It definitely was cool. When I mentioned it to the lady at the gift shop she said the tiger was probably reacting to the keepers being nearby since it was close to feeding time. That's all well and good except that they keepers weren't visible and the tiger kept following me back and forth. I KNOW she was playing chase with me and she wouldn't be chuffing since I didn't have any food or anything with me. I only had a willingness to play.
 
My most memorable is definitely feeding the Asiatic Lions at London Zoo. They might not be as big as some cats but when one of the females reared up at the side of the cage we were in, claws poking through the mesh... Yeah, I'm not gonna mess with that!


I've also managed to stroke a couple of the rhinos at Knowsley during a big kids day last year.
 
In Out of Africa I was able to feed a tiger, with a toy grabber claw. Also, at the same place I got to have a giraffe eat a carrot from right between my lips.
 
I touched those megafauna specimens:
Asian elephant's trunk
Rhino's head
Pygmy hippo's butt (he was too angry from other side)
Some llamas & camels
And helped to catch 2 emus once.

Fota Wildlife Park: The Old Guanacos...,Grey Kangaroos,Wallabies.
Madrid Zoo Aquarium: Ring tailed lemur, Dromedary, Bactrian Camel.
Longleat: Deer, Snakes ,Tarantulas, Others in animal adventure
Numerous Zoos: Pygmy Goats (have 2 at home too)
